With all due respect to whatever contraints your venue has placed upon you, 9 PM is kinda late in the evening for me as I am working a very full week in mearby Foxboro, MA but, having said that I would be interested in participating.

I can sing, but really cannot play any other instrument but voice and either an autoharp or some basic guitar (if I get the action on the guitar fixed.

Hey everybody, i'm Kyle Andree the host of this open mic. I want to thank my friend US Sam for posting this up for me and Jeff Garber (who is now a friend) for his review. Just wanted to let everyone know this open mic is still running. it typically runs 10pm-1am and is acoustic based. You can bring your guitar or use mine. Or any other instruments you may want to bring (hand drums, acoustic bass, mandolins, etc.)

We're always looking for new players at Mickey Doyle's so PLEASE DON'T BE SHY!!

I don't know why U. S. Sam says "we're open to all sorts of stuff". As far as I could tell he wasn't there, tonight. Instead the host made me feel welcome and did a fine job mixing the sound for the solo open mic performers. Amazingly enough I could here the music without going deaf ! Against a backdrop of pool players and regulars chatting it up at the bar is a nightspot that is poised to be discovered. If you are looking for a place to play and don't mind getting ignored if you screwed up the lyrics but just might get a "thank you" if someone liked your act, then this place is definitely worth your while to check out. Don't expect the typical polite applause after every song you do. One of the more honest audiences I've experienced at open-mics for quite some time. This place is a bar that has good vibes, in my opinion. It reminds me a lot of the Cantab in Cambridge, with a younger clientelle, but it's in Fall River !?!? A local hangout with live music.
