I had the pleasure of attending this delightful establishment a few weeks back and had a smashing time. It was very well run and I was made to feel right at home. I shall try to get back againwhen I am in the area.

In the quest for a non-bar-centric open mic, which supports acts of all ages and style, I host an early evening open mic at Me & Ollies sandwich shop in Downtown Portsmouth with the help of store manager, Rian, every Thursday from 630 to 9.

Since the opening night on Feb 21, 2008, the response has been overwhelming. The room is very condusive to the music, and the lack of a bar brings the performers into the spotlight.

We are equipped with a 16 channel mixer and two loudspeakers. Acts may range from acoustic, to spoken word, to electronic, or beatboxing, or freestyle, or juggling, or comedy… We take all comers!

Roughly 3 songs or 15 minutes per performer. Maximum 3 minute setup time (show up early if complex setup needed).
