I went here and had a great time. I've been playing music for over 10 years and these guys keep it colorful and good paced. All of them are very talented guys and very approachable! I've been to a lot of openmikes via this website and this is one of, if not, THE best! I just moved to MD from Vegas a few months ago and I appreciate that these guys have a good attitude and are inviting, even if you're not the best player… Beers are cheap, it's a good time, and I'm coming from Gaithersburg, so trust me, I wouldn't be making the trek if it wasn't worth the show. Very well said Brendan! I couldn't agree more. I will be there tonight and I'd encourage anyone looking to get out due to cabin fever to come on out too. It will be a breath of fresh air. These guys are great to play with.

This is probably a dumb question but does the pub and grill only allow 21 and over? I'm only 19 but I love poetry and have been looking for poetry readings in hagerstown to absolutely no avail. Thanks

I won't be there tonight, but I have been to this open mic plenty of times, and in my opinion it's one of the most laid back places I've been to. Check out my previous post from Feb '08. The host band is great, and they all have very good equipment. If you're a guitar player looking to jam usually if you're by yourself, you'd end up jamming with the host band. Even though I think this open mic is quite good, there just aren't a lot of different players who come out. They do use a sign up sheet, and they stick to it, but you don't need to worry about getting there too early to sign up, in fact most cases, I get there just about starting time (9:30 p.m.) and there may be one or two people on the list, tops. Like I said, the host band are a bunch of great guys and good musicians, and they'll definitely treat you right. Just thought I'd give you the skinny on this jam. Take care.
