trying to see if anyone will be there im new to the area

anthony (6/2008) Anthony, I won't be there tonight, but I have been to this open mic plenty of times, and in my opinion it's one of the most laid back places I've been to. Check out my previous post from Feb '08. The host band is great, and they all have very good equipment. If you're a guitar player looking to jam usually if you're by yourself, you'd end up jamming with the host band. Even though I think this open mic is quite good, there just aren't a lot of different players who come out. They do use a sign up sheet, and they stick to it, but you don't need to worry about getting there too early to sign up, in fact most cases, I get there just about starting time (9:30 p.m.) and there may be one or two people on the list, tops. Like I said, the host band are a bunch of great guys and good musicians, and they'll definitely treat you right. Just thought I'd give you the skinny on this jam. Take care. Hi everyone! This is an announcement that there will be no Open Mic night on Monday, March 17th. Just Cause will be playing the entire evening starting at 10pm as entertainment for St. Patrick's Day. Feel free to come out and enjoy good fun, good friends, good company and great specials. Open Mic night will resume at normal time (9:30pm - 12:30AM) on Monday, March 24th. Hope to see you there!!

Just Cause (2/2008)

A very friendly group of talented musicians hosting this open mic. Very cool bar with a lot of nice people and relaxed atmosphere. Mike runs a very nice establishment. For drummers, like myself, I think you'll find the host drummer's kit to be a pleasure to play on (very sweet Pearl Masters Series 4-piece kit, hardware and cymbals all top notch). Not a huge number of guest musicians this past Monday, so please check this one out. I know I'll be up there again very soon.

Musicians welcome and strongly encouraged to sign up and play. Musicians can play solo, with friends and other musicians who have signed up or with the host band. Wide variety of music and musicians attend. Everything from current and classic rock, jazz, blues, rhythm & blues. Great place to come and play if you or your group are just starting out and want a little exposure.
