- Just visited this throwback tavern in September, 2015 for open mic and was welcomed. I was the only one who signed up so the host said play as long as you like, and I did. My wife and I, out of towners both, were treated like regulars. Great fun, but if you want to play be sure to bring along a set list!

We just tried this open mic out in "America's Coolest Small Town 2012" and played to a pretty full bar (small space, looks full with about 20 - 30 people) who really appreciated some high-energy original tunes, and didn't turn their backs when we slowed it down either. Friendly owner who also books music for the weekends, a great family-run gyro grill out front serving up the best gyros I've ever had, a really talented, friendly host.
It IS a small town and as far as I could tell the rest of the night was going to be played by the host and the one other signup - and my impression is that this is fairly typical - but I think that made it all the more exciting to have a new person in the house.
