Hi my name is Niesha and I was wondering if you were doing any special openings at your club for valentine's day next year? and I ask now because I am working on something special for my boyfriend and I have a poem to read but i want to do it at an open mic club. So would you be able to give me any information about my question?

Leadbetter's will be having open mic night on Mon Feb 15. All are welcome to come perform. To do so, show up at the bar around 9:00 to ensure an early performance/reading spot.

Hi im wondering if a High school age band could play there or if we'd have to be 21+ and would there be a drum set and guitar Cabs to use there or would we bring our own? thanks

Sorry, it's a 21+ pub. It's an intimate space without a backline for bands. Bands have brought their own equip in the past tho.

Hi, I was wondering if this open mic is just for instrumental musicians, or if hip hop / poetry is also welcomed. I am looking for open mics around the area to either lyricize alone or with a drummer or bassist that might be in the crowd. Any suggestions?

Sorry, haven't been by this site in a while.

The majority of people who perform at Leadbetter's open mic are acoustic guitar players/singers, but all genres have been represented there and all are welcome. It's a small space so there usually isn't a drummer playing. I'd recommend Peace and a Cup o' Joe on Thursday nights with Chuck the Mad Ox on beatbox - peaceandacupofjoe.com .
