I'm coming from out of town and was wondering whether there will be an open mic on Monday, July 5, 2010? Is this open mic for original music only, or all types? I can do either. How would Brazilian bossa nova go over with the crowd?

this open mic is no longer on wednesday. it has been changed to monday night, with new hosts, mike and jared.music is no longer focused on just original material. though both mike and jared do some great original songs. it,s a very laid back venue with great food and good people. if you like the open

mike concept, this is a good one.

Attended the open mike show 1/28/09. It was great. Scotty does a great job and the acts that came out were fantastic. Especially Lorna Bracewell. She is awesome. You can be sure that I'll be there to hear Lorna Tuesday 2/3/09 when she plays there again.

By the way the food and service was great.

I'm visiting town for work and looking for jam sessions to sit in on. I'm a bass player and can follow about anything you put in front of me or yell at me across the stage. Are there open spots to sit in with groups or are these closed sets? Unfortunately I can't travel with my gear so I'd have to use a house bass.
