This is not an open mic. It is a jazz oriented dinner show and the performer will allow you to sit in. The audience age group is 60-70 +/-.
Chaz (12/2007): I just called this establishment today. This venue is still going on Mondays from 5-8pm.
Chuck (11/2007): Jebry is a singer – a jazz singer – whose command, professionalism, sense of swing and sheer musicality, versatility, range and control on rhythm tunes, blues, ballads, Dixie numbers and on a good number of contemporary tunes (done with clever twists and turns), is unparalleled. She approaches all material with strength and good humor, and more importantly, is able to project these qualities. She commands the attention of the audience and they do, in fact, listen. We are back at The Island Pub (formerly The Island Club) every Monday and Thursday 5 to 8 pm. Bring your horns, voices - anything musical (including your ears) for a great evening of entertainment! Jazz oriented, professional or semi-professional quality musicians are welcome.
