The Ironhorse is a warm & cozy, friendly, and inviting bar/restaurant that holds a wonderful vibe and is nestled in the historic downtown of Ashland! The road it is located on, Railroad Ave, is true to its name as railroad tracks split the road right down its center. It is really neat to be sitting inside the Ironhorse and see trains and Amtraks passing by ever so often! Despite what you might think, you can hardly tell they are passing through when performers are on stage as they are not very loud! I drove an hour and a half from Franklin, VA to come and check this place out and I am so glad that I did! Harry Gore, the host, was very cool and extremely talented, the other musicians there greeted me and spoke with me after my performance with accolades! Everyone who played was incredibly talented and were great songwriters! I will definitely be coming back to this place every chance I get!
