We weren't too sure how this place was running their open Mike when we arrived. We were passing through on tour and stopped to play. There was a chalkboard to put names on. There were already names on there with people that were not even there yet. When it came time to start the open mike, there was no host, and the employee selling stuff didnt know what to do, she just referred to the names that were already there. There were folks outside playing guitars, but when asked , they said they were not going to play. I guess we ruined the routine of how they do it. We had to take over and organize who wanted to play on the chalk board with times etc… Over all some talented folks there and a few that came from out of town like us to play, but the locals seem to treat it like a free for all jam or something that we couldnt figure out??? They have a piano, and a good system. It was not set up, and we ended up setting it up ourselves, too.
