Tony Anthonisen, who has been developing his skills as a guitar flatpicker for many years, guides this session. He's a graduate of several of Steve Kaufman's workshops and camps and other guitar camps around the country. Call it payback time - call it whatever you want, but Tony approached us and expressed his willingness to help developing flatpickers hone their skills by sharing the bank of knowledge he's acquired. Jammers will use Adam Granger's book "Granger's Fiddle Tunes for Guitar" as a resource, and Tony recommends purchasing a copy if you've not already done so. This jam is geared for those just getting into playing fiddle tunes and those beginning to play rhythm at jams, or better pickers who want to practice playing slowly. The primary focus is on guitars, but mandos, banjos, fiddles and basses are welcome. If you are new to flatpicking, bring your desire, and we'll learn and practice the jamming skills.
