- Good host, good atmosphere in a small, smoke free room with couches and tables and a good sound system. Good musicians, young and not so young.
K. C. Kurtwood (1/2007)- Went there again last night. They rotate hosts. Some good, some not so good. Suggest you call first.
K. C. Kurtwood (2/2007)- I have been going to this open mic off and on for about two years now. It is consistently one of the better-run venues I've been to, with the emcee rotating monthly. Sound system is decent. Laid back. Usually just a small crowd gathers but they're fairly attentive. Three songs allowed, and on occasion when it's slow you get called back up. An average of 8 to 10 performers. Everything from rock to folk to quirky here. Beginners as well as some incredible talent coming in regularly. Crowd very supportive of original songs.
R.M. (4/2006)- This is good for doing your first open mic or your 400th. It's pretty low key and the crowd and regulars are supportive.
Travis (4/2005)- Nice host, supportive atmosphere, acoustic- oriented, small crowd but I've heard some good players there as well as a few quirky acts, one time the equipment didn't get there but oh well, tends toward Old Town School crowd.
