- Please take this as constructive criticism from an experienced musician who has played hundreds or maybe thousands of gigs and has attended and sometimes hosted quite a few jam sessions. I have been to the Saturday night jam at Frazier's two times and sat in both times. And both times the stage volume was unbearably loud, loud enough to not be particularly musical. Not only could I not hear myself, even with my amplifier cranked up, but I could not really hear the other instruments individually. It was one big roar. I reckon I could start taking my Kustom 200 with its matching gold sparkle 2x15 cabinet so I could actually hear myself. But that would only make things louder. And you really don't want that. The stage volume should definitely be addressed. I will probably attend the jam a third time. But if the stage volume is anywhere near as loud as it was the two times I went I really doubt I will want to go a fourth. All things considered, the stage volume is the only issue I have with the Saturday night jam at Frazier's. The musicians are skilled and personable, the food is good, and the service is excellent.
