The open stage at Fiddler's Dream is a 'no host' event, just volunteers as on any other night of music. The admission is now your choice of a $3 donation, or a donation of three cans/pkgs of food or other unperishable foodstuff (pasta, rice, beans).
Nia (2/2008): All acoustic = COMPLETELY acoustic (no mics, no electronics). They've got a whole freakin' list of rules but you shouldn't be bothered by them - though a little intimidating at first the atmosphere warms up to you pretty quickly. This is an older, folkier crowd, but very accepting. Two songs, 10 minutes - strict adherence to that. You sign up at the beginning of the night and the order is drawn from a hat progressively over the course of the night (which is pretty confusing if no-one bothers to explain it to you). Quiet open mic, conversations are frowned upon, no-smoking - I think there was a $3 cover.
