- This was my first open mic. Decent crowd of about thirty people. There may had been more if it weren't for the Phillies game that night. Peter runs the show and does a good job at it. It seems to me that his friends are the majority of the performers, and they are a mix of different skill levels anywhere from decent to excellent. Nobody sucked except some random guy, and after his first song, Peter kindly asked, "One more man?" and the sucky act replied "Nah, I got two more." People then proceeded to leave. If you're on a schedule and you have to play and run, this probably isn't for you. I didn't even go on until thirty minutes after the time slot I signed up for. That put me behind, but no big deal.
Andrew Foust (10/2009)-
If you're "like 30" then you should have your ID with you. It's part of being a grown-up. Better the bouncer sees you without your license than a cop pulling you over late at night.
Don't blame others for your own absent mindedness. He's just doing his job. Also, the word you were looking for is "they're" not "there."
Anonymous (6/2009)- In my opinion, this is the best open mic in Philly. The talent is always good, there's a friendly vibe, and the mix and match house band plays with a lot of the acts.
Anonymous (4/2009)- real good vibe great musicians was one of nicest open mics i've played
steve tate (4/2008)- supportive mix, great little floor, cozy vibe cept for the power tripping roidhead bouncer who wouldnt let people in with no ID even though there like 30
