Spireside is pleased to announce Nice & Naughty will perform on Saturday, June 18th. Nice & Naughty's original music speaks to all aspects of everyday life, from whimsical to poignant, serious to silly. Accompanied by stand-up bass, guitar and pennywhistle, their exquisite harmonies are the highlight of their performance. Sometimes irreverent, but never rude, they're sure to appeal to all audiences!

Band members Peg Chaffee and Cheryl Sager have been performing music for many years in various genres and bands. Their repertoire is eclectic; from touching and sentimental (nice) to saucy and suggestive (naughty). Audiences praise Nice & Naughty as "very talented and entertaining", and "great songwriters" with "wonderful harmonies". Welcome their guest guitar virtuoso, Neal Zweig, for an extra special evening of entertainment.

The Spireside is held on the third Saturday each month in the Dunbarton Church Vestry at 6 Stark Highway North. Open Mic signups begin at 7:00 PM welcoming musicians, poets and storytellers. Coffee, tea, soup and snacks are available. $5 suggested donation. For more information contact Lizz@dccucc.org See our website www.dccucc.org.

We asked Steve Z to provide us with short blurb and this is what he sent us:

On Saturday Night, May 21 The Spireside Coffee House is (pleased) required to announce our Featured Performer will be Steve Z. For 30 years Mr. Z has been (entertaining) irritating Southern New Hampshire audiences with his interminable litany of sad songs. Blessed with a powerful voice that spans four octaves, of which he sings adequately in approximately one, Steve will (lament) blubber incoherently about one emotional calamity or another until clearer heads prevail and we chase him from the stage. So abandon all hope and join us for what is sure to be a delightful memorable evening, (if you're the kind of person who remembers root canals and tax audits.)

So we decided to write our own blurb instead:

Steve's original songs are well-written and his deep, smooth voice and his calm (and funny) stage presence blend to produce a great show. Known for writing about loss and heartache, he also has lighter, uplifting songs in his repertoire and the audience is always left wanting more when his performance is over. We love Steve and you will, too - so come on in to the Spireside for a listen on May 21st - see you there!
