Hey Y'all!

A few new things coming to Open Mic at The Diamondback Tavern!

1. A FULL BACKLINE will be present EVERY WEEK. The backline will include a drumkit (Kick, snare, floor tom, hihat, crash, ride and throne), and electric guitar amp and a bass amp. Just bring your axe and we will be all set.

2. OPEN JAMS. We are going to start these every other week, starting at 10pm, the list goes out the window and we just jam. Find some folks that are there and make yourself a group.

3. FEATURED ARTISTS. We will be having featured artists on a bi weekly basis playing an extended set for Open Mic. Contact me or talk to me on Wednesdays to get you or your band a 'Featured Artist' gig at The Diamondback! We will be featuring The Federal Hillbillies on Wednesday November 30th so keep your calendars clear as they are not to be missed!

And just an FYI for the schedule There will not be an Open Mic on Wednesday November 23rd (The Night before Thanksgiving)! Get yourselves ready for a kickin' Fall and Winter up at The Diamondback Tavern!

Hey Everyone,

We are pleased to announce the beginning of a new Open Mic in Historic Ellicott City. Every Wednesday night at The Diamondback Tavern from 8pm until around midnight, there will be local, live, open mic music! Host, Chris Wojtal, has been a mainstay of the EC music scene for over 6 years and is excited to help the community grow at The Diamondback.

On to the nuts and bolts of how Open Mic will work�

The house provides a PA system with:

- Main and monitor mixes

- (3) Microphones

- Various DI boxes

- Pedal tuner and �� cables

- Webcast to our uStream site and out across the interwebs

Here is what the players provide:

- Their own instrument, a must

- Their own amplification, if desired

- Open ears, another must

Sign up begins at 6pm in the Upstairs bar. You must be present to sign up (you may not sign up your friends if they are not there). Individual slots will be 15 minutes (usually 3 songs). The list will have 10 GUARANTEED slots; the folks in these slots will most definitely play. Below the �guaranteed� slots are STANDBY slots; the folks in these slots will be able to play if someone in a �guaranteed� slot removes themselves from the list or there is extra time at the end of the night.

Along with weekly food and drink specials, we are going to be setting up some special events (i.e. Themed Cover nights, Featured Artist Slots, Weekend Jams, etc… ) throughout the course of the year and will be keeping everyone posted on the weekly happenings through our Facebook Group (Open Mic at The Diamondback Tavern) and the email list that we will be developing.
