Calling All Artists: Take the Stage at Open Mic Night
On Friday night, May 20, the City of Norwalk’s Cultural Arts Center will pull back the curtain for musicians, poets and comedians during its Open Mic Night, beginning at 8:00 p.m. This free event gives local talent a venue to perform original pieces, add new sound to old works or give their experimental material a test drive in front of a live audience. Performers include veteran band The Image Sharks, who play a unique fusion of blues, dinosaur rock, country and Latin percussion.
A microphone, mic stand, speakers and auxiliary cord will be provided. Performers are asked to bring any additional equipment.
Open Mic night is open the public and includes free refreshments. Participants are encouraged to come early to sign up.
