There is a new host now ;They have a name & it is ????? Will someone please tell me I was told once,
Jeff Wright Parsonsfield Me (1/2007)- Hi Jeff, My name is Barry Fitzpatrick and you may know me as the Guitarist/Vocalist for "Roadside Prophet". I've been hosting the Chicken Bone Jam for the past two years. BTW, the stage has been replaced… no more bouncing stage!
Barry Fitzpatrick (1/2007)- What I found about the place is it has a really cool stage with alot of bounce in it. I play harmonica and am always willing to wait for my solo. I sometimes get stepped on by those guitars, but thats OK its just a jam. I'm glad I get to play early there because its a long ride back to Maine.
Jeff Wright (12/2006)- It is true that barry is the man. If you are worried as a harmonica player about being blown away than i ask you to speak with him. We are investing a considerable amount of money in our sound, lighting and overall atmosphere as we recognize that is the last great music room west of boston. It is with this in mind that i encourage all serious players to come down and help barry turn this into a special night every week. We thank you all for your support and urge you to keep your eyes on the remainder of our band schedule as we are planning to make it very clear over the next year that if you want the best music than you will "meet me at the bone"
Bill Rodenhiser (9/2006)-
The jam at the Chicken Bone has improved markedly under Barry's guidance. He's a remarkable (and tasteful) guitarist and has put together a real nice house band. They do a great job warming up the room in advance of the jammers.
Barry has also attracted a fine collection of jammers, so you'll hear as much R&B as you will 12-bar blues. In my estimation, this is a tremendous plus over the "shuffle in G" stuff you hear at all other blues jams.
One real important thing… the stage, the sound system, the lighting, the heating/cooling system are all BRAND NEW. So, the "6 string din" is a thing of the past. Barry's running the board (which used to be behind the bar) and the room and stage monitors sound just tremendous.
