Busy room, low metal ceiling, lots of friends sharing a beer and playing board games, so the noise level's pretty high.
So, you actually have to perform in a compelling way to get their attention - not a bad test for aspiring musician/singers.
Bring your A game, and they'll stop chattering with each other to listen up. But don't expect them to hang on every chord & syllable; they've got friends to hang with already.

odd waitress behavior towards customers -
mucho constant boisterous talking and loud laughter -
little attention to the performer -
thus derives the name chatterbox

does anyone read these ?
let me know so I don't waste time writing stuff like this for no reason - please do - yah -

Virtuoso (9/2009)
Yes, people read the comments you leave, and as such I was wondering if there is any open mic that a virtuoso such as yourself finds acceptable here in the Twin Cities?

Good ! ~ Although it is too bad about all the chatter ~
try to keep the monitors hotter ~
so that the performers may hear themselves better ~ you are all friendly there ~ this matters the most to me ~ one departs feeling refreshed.
