Cursing is fine, with good taste. And I've seen a couple guys do some hip-hop stuff that was pretty well received.

Hands down the best open mic I've ever participated in or attended. Equipment is great, establishment is set up for performances so it's not some dude setting his speakers up on stools etc. Monitors are provided. Sound man is great and 'works' for you. You'll please two tunes max. Crowd is extremely attentive. Don't attend if you plan on gabbing through the performances - you'll probably be asked to leave. If you've timid but fierce to get out THIS is the place to do it. There's no excuses here!… I always hate when there's no monitors - call me an amateur but without monitors I may has well not even try.

I discovered this open mic 2 weeks prior to moving to Delaware and I was SO SAD to have not found it till then.

This is a must attend.
