I "think" I know what "in-the-round" style means. So I have a better and more accurate idea of what will be going on - would you explain the style a bit more?

The evening begins with a standard, first-come-first-served open mike. After that, a pre-booked group of featured songwriters takes the stage for a round-robin performance.
