- Each performer leaves after they have performed. Hey I already went on. Why should I stay to watch anyone else? The moderator calls up his favorites and eggs them on to perform a lot. If you are unlucky enough not to be one of his favorites, by the time you get up to perform there is no one there. Literally. No one. The room is empty. Save yourself a trip.

This is Hoop making a comment. Well everybody, if you want to have an enjoyable time at an open mic. night this is the one! (Except for the Tuesday Night one located down the srteet at Zora Space) I host it. Cheapway to get a plug in, but I did it.
I've been coming since Oct.2010 and I've made great connections and your host Elizabeth Rex and I started performing togeteher in clubs around town in Feb. 2011.
Every Monday is great, many surprises and sometimes… free stuff is given away.

- If you have new material and want some chill folks to play for, come out for Open Mic Mondays at Brooklyn Lyceum in Park Slope, where songwriters come to play weekly. Sign up at 6:30, show runs 7-8. Two songs per performer. No need to bring anything except your instrument (if you play piano, we have a Casio Privia with really nice action and sound). Laid back environment, beginners welcome, weekly attendance encouraged. Backline includes two Shure SM58 microphones, guitar amp, Casio Privia keyboard, mixer, and PA.
