It's great to hear that a singer can come without musicians & get a band to back her. I am a blues singer & I will have to check this out… thanks!!!

Great place to show your talent & very lovely & friendly staff. I took my daughter with her friends to play keyboard & sing. We had a great time. Here's one of her songs Hope you enjoy it:

Just a quick FYI - per the restaurant's website, the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Tuesdays are "wired" open mics, and the 2nd and 3rd Tuesdays are "acoustic".

? Hey - I am here from Missouri (Blues Belter) & don't even have a mic with me but I am looking to sing there tonight & wondering if a band there might let me sing "Stormy Monday"… I am moving back to the area, too. Would love to come up & enjoy & participate in the local talent. Let me know, Thanks

This is where I got a chance to play in front of an audience after many years of not performing in front of people.Boy, was I nervous! I played drums behind a local Blues Legend named Warner Williams.I had to play softly to blend in which was a challenge for me (I like to ROCK OUT) but it was an awesome experience & a privilege. That was 2 yrs. ago & have been hooked ever since.

Tuesday night's best Open Mic is at Branded 72 (formerly O'Brien's Pit Barbecue), at 387 East Gude Drive in Rockville, Maryland.

http://www.branded72.com/

It's growing all the time, thanks to excellent music, food, beautiful, sweeeeeet bartenders, and a warm, friendly, homey atmosphere. Eat in the restaurant or the bar… it's not just meat, meat, meat… their fish is crispy and their fries are to die for. They have great local bands on the weekends, too.

Hosted each week by a different professional musician, Branded 72's Open Mic Night allows all local musicians to get up onstage and showcase their talents. Sign up and play. There is no "inner circle" of the same old, same old people, hogging the stage. They're looking for new blood. Come on down!

BRING YOUR INSTRUMENT, CORD AND AMP. The host will point you in the right direction. Acoustic players with no cords or amps are certainly welcome and will be set up with a close mic and a vocal mic. It's a good place for you to present your originals or your unique take on your favorite cover songs. They need singers! If you have no accompanying musicians, ask the host to hook you up with players who will be happy to back you. Be discovered. Bring your friends and family.

Bands are welcome. Show them what you got and you may get booked! Some of the best local bands play at Branded 72. Get on their calendar.

Lots of free parking in the spacious off-street lot. They have a full bar and clean restrooms.

If you don't want to play, bring your band fliers and business cards. Networking is encouraged.

Never a cover charge for their Open Mic night.

Respond to this ad for more information, or check them out in person!
