Border's open Mic that occurs the SECOND FRIDAY of the month is now in a state of transition. Chris Day is a talented young songwriter from Linden and, under trying circumstances, did a commendable job this February. I've no doubt that he'll sustain that high standard for March and April. Ken Pennington will begin duties in May. He is hand picked by myself (and several advisers). I look forward to his efforts and what he has to offer the community. Finally, I offer thanks to Kevin Tyler for his efforts. I'm a big fan of Kevin's art. Kevin has been Genesee County's most relevant folk/roots/acoustic performer for pretty much the entirety of this past decade. Kevin was unselfishly helpful to the running of my open mike, especially the early years. Sound and the integration of poets are just two high spots that I am indebted to him. Thank you Kevin.

Border's Open Mic that occurs the SECOND FRIDAY of the month is hosted by Kevin Tyler. Kevin is Flint's best folk singer (bar none). Get there early as Kevin does impose a cut-off for sign up (I believe it is 7:30). Robert, Mark, Larry and Ben---thank you for contributing.
