Great open mic, very intense with some amazing performers. 10-20 minute slots depending on the night. The crowd REALLY gets there at around 11pm and (whether by coincidence or design) most BANDS end up playing slots around and after this time. Singer/songwriter type performers should probably aim a little earlier as the crowd is a little quieter and easier to grab. Later, they're much more responsive to loudness. Sam is a great host but the sound is a bit difficult (muddy and muffled, at least on stage). Despite this, the place has a great vibe and is easily one of the best open mics I've been to. Signup starts as early as 6:30, and fills up fast. Music starts at 9pm
