- I don't think I have ever seen a more attentive crowd. I made a noise when I moved my chair and got dirty looks from a couple people that said non-verbally… "what were you thinking moving your chair in the middle of a song". It's pretty intense. Likely comes from no alcohol served here, just caffeine. I played last and got two songs in. It's a great venue on a certain level… the people listen intently and no one says a word during your performance. I could have used a shot and a beer after navigating from peabody to Boston and missing a turn, driving in circles around Cambridge for a bit. Trying to navigate Boston in the dark without a GPS is a formitable task that put me on edge. The earliness of the event is attractive to working people who have to rise early. The café was once a bank and they kept the super cool vaults as semi private meeting rooms. I like that the host plays no more than any performer. You get two songs whether they last 2 minutes or 5 minutes so I was home before 9PM. Nice job Kelly.

- Kristen Ford is a warm, welcoming and enthusiastic host. Listeners are attentive and supportive. Performers are strong. This is a superb open mike. Two songs typically. Eclectic mix of styles.

Ed (6/2011)
- Kristen has really pulled together a line-up of talented open mikers. I'd show up at 6:30 at the latest to sign up, if I were you.

Fred Bement (12/2010)
Does the list fill up early? I can't easily make it before 7:30 or so -- any chance I could still get on?
Randall (7/2010)
Are amps and fuzzy distortion welcome?
