Sign up starts around 7:30 - good host - runs the PA - host plays 4-6 songs to get started - some folks talk while you're playing (it's a bar) most listen and are respectful - probably because most are players.
Nice space for sound - tables, couches, small bar - at least 15-20 people when I've been there.
Decent place to get in front of an audience. No pressure - easy on newbees.
Three songs usually. Host starts playing around 8:30.
PA system for three or so instruments and 2-3 mics.
Mixed music bag - haven't seen much rock music there.
Folk, singer song writer, blues, some blue grass.

- You Always have to understand the local bias in open mic's. There will always be favoritism and there is nothing wrong with it, especially if you are a newcomer. This venue is great. Just go and give your heart. Listen

- The black moon is awesome. :)

- This has got to be one of the best rooms I've played. The host is very helpful and the room sounds great. You'll want to get there early cause the list fills up quick and if your last chances are you'll play to an empty room.

- They charge $1.00 for a glass of tap water. The room is huge and folks at the bar don't listen and are really loud. The host doesn't attend to the sound. If you like playing to a big room full of people who could care less this is a good one.
