- The times I went to this open mic, the people IGNORED most of the performers, and after thier LAME ASS FRIENDS played they all left. I dunno Its run by a good host it just seems cold and un-welcoming to people outside of the typical Lincoln Park "yuppie" "CUB FAN" mindless drones…

- Great room, great equipment, great specials, and great host! This place is one of the better kept secrets out there. There isn't a better way to kick off your week than with a set here at Bird's Nest. There isn't much of a wait, so you won't have to stay until 130am just to play your set. The host/sound guy is very laid back and personable, and the rest of the bar is a great place to hang out. A dedicated space for musicians; Hang out, have a beer, play a few songs. Don't get in your own way, get out and play, and do it at Bird's Nest!
