Anonymous (6/2008): To david: Bentleye's is mainly an acoustic open mic but they did have a POETRY SLAM once per month and a lot of the poetry there sounded like rap to me.
Anonymous (9/2007): what kind of open mic night is it… ? i have some up coming coming rap artist that i would like to get on stage or just perform anywhere… is rap a lil to much for this coffee shop… ?
david (7/2007): I was really pleased with this open mic when I attended it 2 weeks ago. It was organized and kept running smoothly by the hostess, who also performed and monitored the sound and adjusted as necessary. The music ranged from decent to stellar, and it was a great night. Bring your own cable if you want to plug in. If you don't, they have mics set up for vocals and for your guitar. Very comfortable and supportive atmosphere, was my impression.
