Entertainment at the Barrel is currently on hold and will resume Sat, 4 JUNE 2011 in a real BIG REOPENING PARTY (they finally get a new entertainment license). The location has moved a stones throw away to the adjacent shopping area; I'll fix the new address when I get it. The old location is now a pile of rubble… We really needed to keep those Marshal Stacks turned down! :)

Hey Eric & Billy,Is Comedy OK at your open mic?This Sat May 21, I'm going to be in the area from Jersey for my sons Semi-Pro Football Game in VB. I have a 7-15 min routine aannnd besides being old as dirt(give or take a year) I'm pretty damn funny.I've been at this for a while and I'd like to try my stuff in a differant demographic and see what fly's. Hi Mike; I should have updated this open mike = I've been remiss. The Barrel moved locations a short distance away (I'll need new address) and has live entertainment on hold until 4 JUNE!! (big open-mike party reopening) when they get their new entertainment license. Otherwise, when we reopen the stage, BRING IT ON!!!

If it's good, bring it on!… This Wed, and Wed after next (alternate Weds) might be best nights = we get "down"… Sats would work too = are bit more classic rock and pop. The wed next week is more country rock. If you can get the crowd moving, you own the stage! A solid rhythm works magic here!

At this time, Melburn hosts alternate Wed nights with me and tonight, 12/8/10 is his night. His style is rock country and I sometimes come out jam on the bass or Mando. Next Wed as co-hosts I have a rockin drummer and a new lead singer which last Wed got the place really going. Other player/singers sounded amazing and a lot of dancing with a killer rhythm section and the crowd all wound up.

Not necessarily, but your welcome to come out and read some poetry… we are pretty much everything goes… Our metric is the audience on any act. If folks start to cash in their checks and bail, we minimize time… If they ignore, all is cool, if they follow and are amused/ interested, then more time, if they love it, then please keep going! We've had some very entertaining acapella etc.
