are there usually alot of hip hop acts at your open mic night?
Shantale (8/2008): How would I go about getting a spot in the open mic? Should I call in advance or just show up?

tim acors (5/2008) Mos Def on the hip-hop. It's OPEN MIC man, anything and everything. Same rules apply to all performers though. No obscene or offensive language. Host very accommodating. The crowd is fairly attentive for this type of Sports Bar venue. The restaurant is very large with a main part. The open mic is the extension. The room is very large so plenty of space. Wooden paneling makes acoustics sometimes bounce, but overall good sound. Nice size crowd for a Wednesday night! Waitresses are cute and call you honey and dawlin'.
