- This open mike will let you play covers, but you'd be the minority. To be fair, I did hear a few originals… but mostly covers. Not a true songwriter venue… if that's even what you're looking for. Kim seemed nice, but it does seem like a showcase for her and a few that obviously play there pretty regularly… so be ready to wait a while to play. We did have some good burgers while we waited.

- Great Open Mike! Sound is good, great atmosphere and appreciative audience. Kim Newton is a wonderful host a great singer/songwriter in her own right. having already paid her dues in Nashville, she now is a big supporter of local Texas music… and by the way, the food is awesome too!
