Been there, done that, going again. This was an exceptional evening. About 25 to 30 people arrived during the evening. The host Larry Schallent is an exceptional talent and the jam session rolled on til 2am. I'd suggest you call first to see if there'll be room for you. The only amplification is for the bass and Larry brings the amp. All else are acoustic instruments. The facility is held at a recreation center for retarded children. There is no sign up sheet. It's a singer/songwriters open jam playing original and cover music by taking turns going around in a circle round robin style. Usually starts at 7:45 pm

This is continuing; not an open mic, more of an acoustic jam session; if you are looking for a stage and mic, this would be for another night; good musicianship and very friendly. May 15th will be at another location this month only; always the 3rd Saturday except is dark in August. Annual NOHO Midsummer Nights Coffee House and Music Festival is at this site, usually in August. Location is a residential appearing house, but its a recreation center. Covers and Originals are welcome.
