I signed up once, but I was not able to play because I refused to promote the open mike to fans and friends. My "attitude" towards it was unfortunately restrictive. I'm all about promotion, naturally I like it when people come out to shows, an open mike however has a different purpose. I do have other friends that have played there though, and they say it's a nice place.
Luke MacNeil (1/2007): This is the most talented open mic in downtown Boston, and is definitely worth getting involved with. All artists must sign up in advance, and can do so by emailing an mp3, music myspace or EPK to aquaopenmic@yahoo.com. Many open mic performers are promoted to have their own very well paid showcase. This is a very well hosted, tightly run professional show in a fantastic venue.
