Anthony's Pizza & Pasta
I can confirm this open mike still exists as of yesterday. Attendance was good, the crowd was friendly and appeared be composed mostly of regulars who are all musicians. (Also mostly old white men.) The open mike definitely dominated the small pizza parlor, there were a couple of possibly unrelated people in the back but literally everyone might have been there for the open mike. The owner of Anthony's was playing a set when I had to leave, so the open mike seems likely to have staying power. The host was nice and attentive, and worked hard to compensate for audio problems when the battery in my acoustic-electric crapped out, quickly realizing that my jack wouldn't work and setting up a mike for my guitar while I was playing a song.
There was no sign-up sheet. The host said this was because it is mostly regulars… the atmosphere was relaxed, and the host invited multiple people to play with him during his initial set. I just told him I needed to play as early as possible b/c I couldn't stay long, and he happily placed me immediately after his opening set.
Overall a very positive experience.
