I have to agree with with Sheltered Turtle based on my experience as well. Great group of regulars, The main host was out and his fill-in "Dan" did a great job accomodating everyone! The gourmet cheese-steak was awesome! The bar staff were very friendly and hospitable!

This is a very pleasant venue for those looking for a nice, loose environment and is definitely great for acoustic solo or duet acts. The guy currently running it records performances (after obtaining your permission of course) on DVD and gives performers recordings of their set that night which is definitely nice. The people I met there were very open, friendly, and supportive and readily welcomed this newcomer to the area. Performers are given a reasonable amount of time to play, mostly dictated by however long they want to play, but general etiquette dictates that you limit yourself if there are others in line waiting to play.

The staff at the restaurant were friendly too, and the building itself is in good shape with a nice, subdued atmosphere and a touch of class. The food I had was pretty good.

I saw that someone was wondering if comedy was allowed. For the most part, it looks like a music-only open mic, but it may be worth asking the person who manages it if you could do a few bits in between acts as they set up.
