I was really excited to hear about the 3rd st Coffee House but I want a place to go and mingle with other Musicians. I have a local comedy band called Prison Mattress and we write all our own material.I would like to associate with other original artist or people who just appreciate music basically. I come from a very religious background but I don,t want to feel like Im being suckered into a revival. Chic-Fil-A is christian owned but they don't push it on you. My band was very interested in coming down and hanging out but in less Im getting the wrong impression, this isn't the place for us.

Well Jonathon it is in the basement and if they do not have a bibles on every table that is a good thing but still do not go.

Got a kick out when I asked them one while I was playing there, "Just the white folks sing". The look of fear in their eyes and looking around the room was funny as hell.

Look forward to playing the coffeehouse June 10th on my TN / WV / VA tour - my third time playing there as the featured artist - and no, they don't put bibles on every table during the show. Open mike from 7-8. Pretty cool log-cabin type setting inside.

So is this at a church? I'm a little confused haha

Kayla sorry you feel that way but I can only tell you what has happened to me there. And yes there was a bible one very table while I was there. So yea it’s kind of like a Jesus coffeehouse which is fine but on the circuit this is not a stop.

I got kick out of there because I was trying to talk about musicians boycotting Festival in the Park because they did not pay musician. Which, on the face of that seems very funny, but it’s true. The song writer Jack Hardy from Greenwich Village was coming through the area and I showed him the coffee house. In a very short amont of time Jack said, “Get me out of here”.

Or maybe it was the boxing nun I bought?
